Peachtree Christian Health’s new adult day health services to open Monday
A Duluth health center formerly known for its nearly two decades of offering hospice services has been revamped, and is set to open soon.
Peachtree Christian Health will open its Life Enrichment Center on Monday, which will host therapeutic activities and educational programs for caregivers, families and the community.
“The need for caregiver support and respite is so great,” said Anne Mancini, president of Peachtree Christian Health. “We are excited to serve caregivers and their adult loved ones in Gwinnett County and surrounding communities by offering daytime personalized care and innovative programs at our new Life Enrichment Center in Duluth.”
The center is intended for the community to “intentionally come together to support caregivers and each other,” Peachtree Christian Health’s website said.
“We are busy planning art and exercise classes, entertainment programs, community exhibits and a caregiver café,” the site said. “Educational programs and workshops are being designed to help understand, plan and care for your loved ones throughout the caregiving journey.”
Peachtree Christian Health will also offer an adult day program that begins Monday.
The adult day program will run weekly from Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is a two-day minimum per week to attend the program.
Program fees are based on two levels of care: $85 per day for standard care and $100 per day for those who need more assistance. Fees are determined during a free assessment.
The daily fee includes breakfast, lunch and snacks, as well as activities. Peachtree Christian Health will also offer ancillary services to assist caregivers with personal care services that include bathing, hair styling, manicures/pedicures and shaving.
